Professional Semester

The Professional Semester is positioned in the winter term of Year 4 of the Program (January to April). During your Professional Semester, you will focus solely on the Bachelor of Education components and carry out an extended practicum, and all of your courses will be offered at OISE.

This will be an opportunity for you to have a high-quality learning experience where collaboration amongst the members of the professional learning communities is emphasized. The extended practicum will allow you to build relationships with students and staff over a long period of time, as well gain experience in a school over two months. The integration of course work with the practicum creates an integrative learning process in which you can apply theory to practice.

The Professional Semester schedule is very intensive and we strongly recommend that you do not take any other undergraduate courses during this time.
