Assignments

 

There are three different types of assignments which have been designed and included so that candidates can use the information given in the previous sections on Differentiation of Instruction and Universal Design, Special Education and Technologies, and apply them to various cases of students who may have special educational needs.
 

1. Case Study Descriptions

In the side menu there is a section termed Case Studies- Brief Descriptions.  These give brief descriptions of students who have special learning needs with questions to answer pertaining to Differentiated Instruction and use of Adaptive Technology.

2. Finding Common Ground

This sections explains how to determine common factors between exceptionalities that would influence teaching and assist in applying the principles of inclusion and differentiating instruction in the regular class. It is important to do item 1 before doing the individual items 2 to 6.

The Answer Key at the bottom of the submenu is to assist in the answering item 1 of finding common ground.
 

3. Case Studies by Grade

There are several grade level case studies listed, each gives a sample of written work that a student has produced for analysis and the determination of how a teacher can differentiate instruction for this student which includes the use of adaptive technology.
