Access to Adaptive Software at OISE

General Information

Examples of Adaptive Technologies described on this web site are available to instructors and students at OISE. We have a mobile cart which can be taken into any lab or classroom, as well as copies of all software on individual workstations in all Education Commons Computer labs.

Using Software in the EC Labs

Software products listed on this site are available for student use during class, or for individual study-related use at any time. All computers in the EC Lab area have all products available using the EC lab login (not UTORid). The software is located in a folder labeled Adaptive Technology on the computer desktop.

Booking the Adaptive Technology Cart, Data Projector and Computer Labs

If you would like to demonstrate the software and hardware available on the Adaptive Technology Mobile Cart, it must be arranged through the Education Commons using the EC Online Booking form. Select "Adaptive Technology Cart" from the drop down list in the form.

The AT Cart may be used anywhere in the OISE building at 252 Bloor Street W. If you are using it in the computer lab area, be sure to book the lab as well as the cart. It may be used in any of the EC computer labs. If you would like to move the cart to another classroom location, you may need to book a data projector as well, if the room does not have a projector installed.

For more information on booking the AT cart please contact the EC Help Desk. The EC Help Desk staff will ensure that the AT cart and associated software is functioning, but are not able to provide expert help on use of the software. Please consult program leads for information on peer support for use of the technology. Demonstrations, coaching and support will be given to instructors on a best effort basis by EC staff and the project team.
