Description

This concept-mapping software enables teachers and students to create multilevel concept maps using colourful symbols, arrows and clip art to reinforce concepts from all subjects. Like other mind mapping software, it is used to create  a visual depiction of relationships between ideas or other pieces of information. It is also known as brainstorming.

Benefits:

  • helps visual learners
  • assists students who have difficulty organizing their ideas
  • may be used to transform visual outline to a linear text outline using different "views"
  • useful for creation of study notes

Additional tools for inserting links or images are included as well as spellchecking. Smart Ideas offers Diagram, Outline or Global Views in the drop down View menu. Smart Ideas has a particularly extensive clip art library and also may be integrated with SmartBoard technology.
