York University M.A. University of Toronto Ph.D. University of Toronto Research Overview Dr. McBride's research has focused on the emotional and behavioral consequences of having a learning disability, which is not identified as well as the impact of life events on child and adolescent development. In addition she has examined the special education skills and knowledge required by new teachers to be successful in inclusive general education classrooms. In applied practice, she is also involved in teacher education and interested in how knowledge of neuroscience impacts teaching practice.
