Research Overview

Dr. Humphries is interested in the instruction of children with intractable epilepsy; and language comprehension, production and working memory problems associated with nonverbal learning disability and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. He also does research on reading disability and other aspects of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.

In the Department of Psychology at the Hospital for Sick Children Dr. Humphries is a psychologist and Acting Director. As a psychologist he assesses and treats the learning, behaviour and family adjustment problems associated with medical disorders. A particular focus of the team is children with intractable epilepsy and the operation of a classroom for these children in the hospital.
