Master of Education Course Requirements
The program comprises ten half-courses and may be undertaken on a full- or part-time basis. All students must take the two required foundation courses. In addition, students must choose four courses from the Departmental Electives list (see Section 1.3 of the HDAP Program Guidelines). The remaining four elective courses may be taken from within or outside the department. Elective courses must be chosen in consultation with the student’s faculty advisor. Students are asked to meet with their faculty advisors in the first term of their programs.

Additional Requirements
Students who have not taken a human development course in their undergraduate program must take HDP1201 as an extra course (above the 6 half-course requirement). This requirement is waived for students who take both JD1233 and JD1249.


Elective Courses of Particular Interest to MEd Students in Developmental Psychology and Education.

 

Note: Because most of our MEd students are part-time, these courses usually are offered in the evenings during the academic year or are offered during the summer. We try to offer each of these courses at least once a year.
