Area of Research: My general research interests are in the area of children’s social and emotional development.  More specifically, I am interested in the influence of children’s external environments (e.g., teachers, peers, parents) on their development, particularly in terms of risk and protective factors.  Throughout my Masters studies, I was involved in research examining child care centres, including the impact of centre quality on child outcomes, parental involvement in child care centres, and literacy instruction in preschool aged classrooms.  My clinical interests include children and adolescents with behaviour problems and psychopathology in preschool aged children.
