Program: PhD in Developmental Psychology and Education

Year: 1st Year

Research: I am a first-year doctoral student in DPE. My primary research interests focus on language acquisition, working memory, teaching and learning strategies associated with Chinese-English bilinguals, English language learners and children with learning disabilities. I work with Dr. Becky Chen for a longitudinal Chinese-English literacy project and a morphological awareness intervention study for Chinese-English bilingual children in Canada. My previous major awards include National Science Council Excellent Research grant, full-scholarships for undergraduates and graduate students, English storytelling instructor award, English creative instruction award.
