*If you are not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, you are required to pay the International Student Fee unless you can claim exemption and substantiate it with documentary evidence.
Payment
Applicants using the AQ Online Application System (AQ OAS) to apply online at https://aqoas.oise.utoronto.ca may pay with VISA or MasterCard.
If applying by mail or in person, payment must accompany your application in the form of:
- certified cheque or money order, payable to the University of Toronto
- Visa or MasterCard, by completing all relevant information on the application form
- debit card (in person only).
The Office of Student Accounts does not authorize OISE | Continuing & Professional Learning to accept cash or uncertified cheques. Applications which are received without the required tuition fee payment or credit card information, or with the tuition fee in an unacceptable form, will be returned to applicants.
Please note that OISE is not responsible for any interest charges incurred on credit card fee payments of Additional Qualification courses.
Fees quoted above are subject to change by the Governing Council of the University of Toronto.
Refunds
The amount of tuition fees less $100.00 non-refundable application processing fee refunded is dependent on the date the Request for Withdrawal Form is received by OISE | Continuing & Professional Learning. Please refer to the following refund schedules:

Note:
- Applicants denied admission to a course will receive a full refund of the tuition fees paid for that course.
- Tuition fee refunds by cheque ONLY, within 4-6 weeks of processing. Credit/debit card direct reimbursements are not made.
- Candidates may withdraw from a course by notifying the OISE | Continuing & Professional Learning promptly in writing. Email aq@oise.utoronto.ca or fax a withdrawal form available from the webiste under "Forms and Handbooks". Withdrawals are effective on the date the request to withdraw is received by OISE | Continuing & Professional Learning. Candidates who withdraw from a course are refunded the portion of their tuition fee less $100.00 non-refundable application processing fee as stated in the tuition fee refund schedules above.
- Never having attended, ceasing to attend, or advising an instructor that you will no longer attend classes does not constitute official withdrawal and will result in academic and financial penalty.
- Failure in a course will result when a candidate ceases to attend classes without notifying OISE | Continuing & Professional Learning in writing.
- Petitions based on medical or compassionate grounds must be submitted to OISE | Continuing & Professional Learning, with supporting documentation, before the course ends.
Tuition Fee Tax Receipts (T2202A)
Official Tuition Fee Tax Receipts (T2202A) for income tax (2011) purposes will be available through your AQOAS profile by the end of February for anyone who has paid tuition fees and attended an OISE course. Note that only tuition fees are eligible for tax deductions (this does not include application processing fees).
