Summer Institute 2010 - Early Childhood Development: From Policy to Practice

The 7th annual Summer Institute will provide an opportunity to build knowledge for the professional team as we develop a comprehensive approach to implementing early learning programs. The Ontario government’s commitment to implement early learning programs in 600 schools in the fall of 2010 with both a teacher and an early childhood educator in the classroom is the first step in establishing a comprehensive program for young children. The institute will also address the core principles necessary in shaping the integration of child and family services.
This year, the Institute recognized the contributions of Carl Corter, an internationally known educator and researcher in integrated early learning programs and the important role of parent involvement in the care and education of children.
