UHIP is mandatory for all invited visiting scholars from outside Canada.

Can I be exempted?

On arrival please contact payroll.oise@utoronto.ca to arrange a meeting. Required documents at the time of the meeting include:

1. Department letter of invitation
2. Application form: http://www.uhip.ca/_uploads/en_ApplicationForm.pdf
   A member identification number will be assigned at OISE/PFN HR

3. A copy of your Work Permit
4. Certified cheque, Money Order or Bank Draft from any local bank payable to the University of Toronto

We are not able to accept personal cheques or cash.
