The Second Language Education Graduate Program links with research and resources in the Centre for Educational Research on Languages and Literacies, where most of the SLE faculty are located. It is one of three graduate programs in Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning. The SLE program offers three graduate degrees: M.Ed., M.A., and Ph.D. and focuses on:

- Methodology and organization of classroom instruction

- Research methods for language-related inquiry
