NONPROFIT HUMAN RESOURCE NETWORK

 

Do you want to share information about best practices in nonprofit HR?

Do you want to exchange ideas on HR issues with colleagues from other nonprofits?

Do you want to gain insight into current news and information that affect nonprofit HR?

If so, join our Nonprofit HR Network!


The purpose of the Nonprofit HR Network is to create a forum to learn about the HR issues that nonprofits are currently facing and foster best practices by promoting evidenced-based HR problem solving and continuous learning. The network will provide an opportunity for nonprofits to discuss specific HR issues, share ideas on best practices and develop HR expertise.

About Kunle Akingbola…

Kunle Akingbola is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Business Administration, Lakehead University and a researcher in the Centre for Learning, Social Economy and Work (CLSEW) at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto (OISE/UT).  His research interest is in the area of strategy, HRM and change in nonprofit and healthcare organizations.  Kunle was previously a Human Resources Manager and Consultant with extensive experience in both the corporate and nonprofit sector.  He has managed and facilitated the development and implementation of HR strategy, organizational change, policies and negotiation of collective agreements.  He has significant experience in employee relations, recruitment, labour relations and training.  He has also led compensation and benefits and HR metrics/ benchmarking portfolio.

FORMAT

An interactive discussion group with opportunities to ask questions and raise issues relevant to your own organization. Discussion topics are set before each meeting in consultation with all network members.

COST

Membership fee $100/year plus HST (which is $113).  Pro-rata not available.

The cost is for all meetings. It is not possible to pay for meetings separately. We will collect your cheque for the membership fee at the first meeting (please make your cheque payable to "University of Toronto").  Unfortunately, we're unable to accept credit card or cash.
