Jack Miller, Professor

Jack Miller has been working in the field of holistic education for 35 years. He is author of more than a dozen books and his writing has been translated into seven languages. He has worked extensively with holistic educators in Japan and Korea and has been a visiting professor at two universities in Japan
Jack teaches a number of graduate level courses including, The Contemplative Practitioner, Holistic Curriculum, and Spirituality in Education. He also teaches a course entitled Holistic Teaching and Learning for Initial Teacher Education candidates.
Jack has written a number of articles and books dealing with holistic education. His books include, The Holistic Curriculum, Holistic Learning, and Educating for Wisdom and Compasison. He recently coordinated the International Conference on Holistic Education in October 2007. He is also one of the principal facilitators of the Holistic Learning and Spirituality in Education Network.
Jack's recent research focus has been on the long term effects of meditation practice for teachers.
