Linda Cameron, Associate Professor

Dr. Linda Cameron is an Associate Professor with the Department of Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning. Dr. Cameron has been awarded a number of research grants to explore the impact of early childhood education in the arts and music, and has contributed to OECTA research into the pros and cons of the implementation of full-day kindergarten in Ontario.

Dr. Cameron's professional involvement in organizations related to early childhood education is rich and varied, including work with the Ministry of Education, the TDSB, the royal Conservatory of Music, and the CBC.

Dr. Cameron has contributed to a number of books on a variety of topics in early childhood education, as both an author and an editor.

Research Interests:
• early childhood education; language and literacy; teacher education and professional development; children's literature; adaptive instruction; interdisiplinary arts education; education of young girls; the role of parenting in education
