Research Overview

Dr. Normand Labrie is a Professor with the Department of Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning. His research deals with linguistic pluralism in Canada and in Europe. His latest research focuses on French-speaking communities in Canada.

Dr. Labrie has obtained some 35 research grants since 1991 for a total exceeding one million dollars from the following agencies: Conseil de recherches en sciences humaines du Canada, Subvention globale du ministère de l’Éducation et de la Formation de l’Ontario à OISE/UT, Agence de coopération culturelle et technique, Regroupement des Universités francophones hors-Québec/Université de Moncton, Association des enseignantes et des enseignants franco-ontariens, German American Academic Council Foundation, Agence universitaire de la Francophonie, Joint Centre of Excellence for Research on Immigration and Settlement, Ministère de la Formation et des Collèges et Universités de l’Ontario, Ministère des Ressources humaines Canada (Secrétariat national à l’alphabétisation).
