CTLSA Executive Team 2015-2016

 

CTLSA 2015-2016

The CTLSA is a student-led body that primarily serves CTL student interests and advocates the student positions in the CTL department and the larger governing body of the OISE community as a whole. We aim to create a student community that is active, diverse, and inclusive.

Here is a brief overview of each position and its respective duties:

Internal Coordinator

- To hold CTLSA executive meetings as deemed necessary to ensure all tasks are completed in a diligent and efficient manner

- To hold one representative position (i.e. Faculty Council Rep, CTL Council Rep. etc.)

- To create a community in the CTLSA group; to ensure enough student diversity in representative positions

- To correspond between Michelle Pon, Terry Louisy, and other Program Staff to ensure all events have adequate and diverse student representation

- To hold office hours at minimum 2 hours a week

- To initiate new ideas and events that help bring the CTL student community alive! (e.g. CTLSA Conference Talk Series)

- To hold at least two CTLSA volunteer meetings throughout the school year: one volunteer orientation session at the beginning of the school year to introduce volunteers to various opportunities within the student association, another at the end of the school year as a volunteer appreciation event to thank volunteers for their hard work 

External Coordinator

- To assist in holding CTLSA exec meeting when necessary

- To hold one representative position (i.e. Faculty Council Rep, CTL Council Rep. etc.)

- To be responsible for leading and organizing all Graduate Student Seminars (GSS)

- To assist and support the rest of the executives as needed 

- To initiate new ideas and events that help bring the CTL student community alive!

- To hold office hours at minimum 2 hours a week

- Attend all CTLSA executive meetings

Financial Coordinator

- To be responsible for preparing, organizing, and managing the budget throughout the school year

- To keep a detailed record of transactions and update the financial binder on a regular basis

- To provide the other executives with a clear budget and reimbursement protocol at the beginning of the school year

- To hold one representative position (i.e. Faculty Council Rep, CTL Council Rep. etc.)

- To apply for more funding from GSA and the CTL department as required based on meetings

- To initiate new ideas and events that help bring the CTL student community alive!

- To hold office hours at minimum 2 hours a week

- Attend all CTLSA executive meetings 

Communications Coordinator

- To take and keep a record of all meeting minutes for all CTLSA executive meetings

- To organize and attain all meeting notes from CTLSA representatives

- To hold one representative position (i.e. Faculty Council Rep, CTL Council Rep. etc.)

- To proofread and manage email announcements for elections, socials, GSSs, etc.

- To lead, organize, and recruit volunteers for all CTLSA social events

- To initiate new ideas and events that help bring the CTL student community alive!

- To hold office hours at minimum 2 hours a week

- Attend all CTLSA executive meetings
