Tales from the Bay

This website produced by The Hudson's Bay Co. features three short videos:

Thanadelthur:  A Quest for Peace

The Transit of William Wales

George Simpson:  The Birch Bark Emperor

Nancy Steele's comments:  It would be fascinating to look at for stereotyping and perspective.  I wonder if the story of Thanadelthur is  told by any First Nations storytellers.  It would also be interesting to see if students could rework the story of  George Simpson so that it is told from a First Nations perspective.  I wonder what the “country wives” would say about him.
