Websites
Association of Universities and Colleges in Canada
From the website: "By 2030, the population over the age of 65 will double. Retiring baby boomers will create greater demand for health, legal and social services. Aboriginal Canadians can help meet this demand. They are the fastest-growing segment of the Canadian population. Yet only eight percent of Aboriginal Canadians have a university degree, compared to 23 percent of non-Aboriginal Canadians".
Council of Ministers of Education, Canada
From the website: "A new Aboriginal education strategy is currently being developed by CMEC which will see ministers continuing their work together on pan-Canadian data collection and research and on teacher training. CMEC will also be making further efforts to facilitate information sharing among key Aboriginal education stakeholders and will continue to engage with the federal government on Aboriginal education issues".

Canadian Teacher's Federation
From the website: "Education has been identified as being critical in improving the lives of Aboriginal peoples and addressing long-standing inequities. CTF recognizes the essential need to implement a more inclusive role and successful educational experience for both Aboriginal teachers and learners. CTF is also very mindful of the positive results that can accrue for non-Aboriginal teachers and students from an education milieu that embraces knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal history, culture, language and perspective as an integral part of the learning experience"
