The Student Experience

Dr. Gallagher and her Students

Dr. Gallagher has supervised over 20 graduate students from the Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning, the  Centre for Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies where she is cross-appointed, and the department of Sociology and Equity Studies at the University of Toronto.

With sixteen years of supervising Master and Doctoral students, Dr. Gallagher has created a supportive and rich learning environment. Dr. Gallagher supports creative inquiry and encourages dynamic investigation across a diversity of methodological and theoretical frameworks.

This conversation among Dr. Kathleen Gallagher and two of her past doctoral students, Dr. Barry Freeman of the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies and Dr. Anne Wessels who completed her PhD in the department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, reveals something of theirexperience of being doctoral students with Dr. Gallagher.
