1. Adopt centrally supported UTORMail as email solution.
First Class will be phased out with comprehensive support for user migration to new mail tools. Current OISE email addresses to be grandfathered through forward to UTORmail/Exchange server.

2. Adopt centrally supported Blackboard system as primary solution for teaching/learning.
EC staff will provide support and consultation to faculty in migration/set-up and instructional use of Blackboard tools. Exploration of options for support for discourse-based pedagogy using Blackboard integrated tools will be undertaken.

3. Develop alternatives to First Class for research, administrative and other non-teaching/learning collaborative communications.
Alternative strategies will include: automated or self-administered listserves; CMS or Wiki tools; Blackboard non-course “organization” spaces.
FCIS Admin Conference Users: Migration to occur by Sept 2009
4. Implement OISE Home space for filestorage/filesharing.
The EC will provide alternative file sharing and back up strategy for use by individuals, departments, units, administrative groups and research groups. This initiative is currently in progress, replacing the RIO system.
