Copy a Few Messages
Email Migration - Move FirstClass Data (Optional)
This step is for light users of email, or if you have only a few old messages that you need to access. You are comfortable using FirstClass to access old messages, but would like to access a few of those messages on the new Exchange system.
Any user can do this step
This option is by far the easiest and simplest way to get messages from your existing FirstClass account into the new Exchange system.
Simply put, all you need to do is log into FirstClass,
select the message you want to have access to in Exchange,
and forward the message to yourself.
select the message you want to have access to in Exchange,
and forward the message to yourself.
When you forward a message (one at a time) to yourself, the message will now be available to you in the new system.
This method will work for any message type, including Sent Items in FirstClass.
This method will copy the content of the message only.
The original message will remain on the FirstClass server.
A note about Sent Items:
- Unfortunately due to technical limitations, it is not possible for any of the other post-migration options to move/copy or allow you to access any of your Sent Items from FirstClass.
- Forwarding a Sent Item to yourself is the only way to access it in the new Exchange environment.
- Sent Items will remain available if you log in to FirstClass.
