Create Redirect rule in First Class
for OISEnet Web Access users
Once your new UTORmail account is functioning, you need to redirect (forward) your email that would normally be delivered to the OISEnet email server.
1. Log in to the OISEnet Web Access FirstClass client
(using your usual OISEnet account information)
http://home.oise.utoronto.ca/Login/

2. Click on your "MailBox" from the desktop icons

3. Select "Rules..." from the left menu
4. Delete any/all existing rules that you may have set up for email messages
Highlight the rule and click on the trash can icon.
(Note: your existing rules are no longer required, as FirstClass will not be processing your email anymore)

5. Select "New Advanced Rule" from the left menu
![]()
6. Click the + (plus sign) beside "Conditions, and select "Always" from the drop-down menu.

Then click the + (plus sign) beside Actions and select “Redirect” in the drop-down menu.
Enter your new @utoronto.ca email address, click Validate and then Save.

Yes, I have created the 'redirect' advanced rule in FirstClass.
7. Compose a new email message and send a test message to your OISEnet email address. Please type in your entire OISEnet address (firstinitialLastname@OISE.utoronto.ca)
8. Log in to your UTORmail account (via the Blackboard Portal or my.utoronto.ca), and verify that you have received your test message
9. Return to FirstClass, and modify your rule ("Mailbox", "Rules...", and double-click on your "Advanced Rule"). Click on the Actions + (plus sign). From the second drop-down menu, select "Delete silently", and then click the "Save" button. Your finished rule should look like this:

Yes, I have amended my rule to include 'delete silently'.
10. Close out of FirstClass.
(Note: the delete portion of the rule is necessary to prevent 2 copies of your email being created on 2 different servers.)
If you are only using web-based email for communication, we strongly recommend using Microsoft's Internet Explorer, rather than Firefox or any other web browser. IE will provide you with more features.
