Retired Faculty/Staff Email Migration
Email Migration (required)
Email migration has been an on-going process for the past 2 years.
As of August 1st 2010, some functions of the Email Migration may no longer be available.
Please review the main Migration Headquarters for the most up to date information after the August deadline.
OISE Alumni and Retired OISE Faculty & Staff must also transition off the FirstClass server for email activities.
Although you won't be using FirstClass anymore for day-to-day email activity, any emails addressed to you at your OISE account will continue to be delivered to another email address of your choice.
it is just the way you access your email that is changing (i.e. FirstClass will no longer be available).
This will mean redirecting (forwarding) mail addressed to your OISE email to another account.
For Retired Faculty & Staff, you will have access to a UTORmail account provided through your UTORid username and password.
We have outlined below some suggested methods, but all users are free to redirect (forward) your FirstClass email to any other email account. For example: @alumni.utoronto.ca, @utoronto.ca, @gmail, @sympatico.ca, @rogers.com, @hotmail.com, etc.
Retired Faculty & Staff - suggested migration process:
- Create/verify your UTORid and your UTORmail account (@utoronto.ca)
- Redirect (forward) your FirstClass (@oise) address to your UTORmail (@utoronto.ca)
- Move or save your old FirstClass messages (optional - requires software install/configuration or an external email account)
