Video Conferencing Request Form

 What is Video Conferencing? 

A video conference is a 2-way communication between 2 or more sites.

  • All sites can see and be seen by all other sites.
  • All sites can hear and be heard by other sites.

OISE provides traditional IP-based video conferencing services to students, faculty and staff with up to 3 remote sites during regular business hours, Monday to Friday at no extra cost.

Video conferencing could be used for:

  • Thesis defence
  • Remote lectures
  • Inter-campus meetings
  • Research activities involving remote sites
  • Demonstrations for courses or academic purposes


 Who do we support?

  • OISE and University of Toronto students, faculty and staff
  • Non-OISE, external clients


 How do I request it?

Fill in the Video Conferencing Request Form.
The anticipated group size will help us determine which Video Conferencing facility is best suited for your event.

Please allow at least (3) business days’ notice for bookings occurring during regular working hours (Monday - Friday, 9 am – 5 pm).
Please allow at least (5) business days’ notice to schedule consultations.
Please allow (2) weeks’ notice for bookings that occur outside of regular business hours, including weekends.

You may be contacted by an EC staff member for further details. Please reply with requested details as soon as possible so that we can assist you quickly and efficiently.


 What is the cost?

  • OISE students, faculty and staff:
    Regular hours: no fee
    After hours: potential charges for technician time
  • Non-OISE, University of Toronto students, faculty and staff rates (with CC/FC numbers):


 When is it available? 

Regular hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.*

*Non-IP based connections, 4 or more remote site connections and after hours support is available at additional cost.
