APA + Formatting & Thesis Services
Take advantage of our formatting, editing and proofreading services as you prepare your thesis, dissertation, course papers, articles for publication or other research documents. Regularly scheduled workshops will help you hone your skills in managing your research references and citations, polish the writing process and meet requirements for APA and OISE formatting. Our consulting service offers one-on-one coaching to enable you to effectively revise your own documents, or we will provide formatting, editing and proofreading services on a fee-for-service basis.

Library & Reference Services
The OISE Library can assist with any aspect of your academic research or organization of references. Visit the reference desk, email a question, book an appointment or take a workshop on research techniques and use of bibliographic software. Research Design & Data Analysis Services
We offer assistance during all phases of the process, including early planning, development of research methods, data collection and analysis, as well as coaching and training on use of statistical software applications. Schedule an appointment to consult on your research design or register for one of our workshops on data management or statistical software packages such as SPSS, NVIVO and HLM. Research consultation and project implementation are also available on a fee-for-service basis.

Research Grant Planning
The EC provides consultation on costing and budget planning for research proposals. Our Guidelines for Inclusion of Technology-Based Components provides examples of IT infrastructure and services costing has been developed to support OISE faculty who are seeking SSHRC funding for projects that require technology-based components. Our goal is to ensure that the applications a) include sufficient budget to cover costs and 2) identify solutions that are in alignment with existing OISE institutional ICT strategies and practices. In order to get an accurate estimate for your SSHRC project costs you will need to consult with the appropriate EC staff person, as noted in the Guidelines for Inclusion of Technology-Based Components.
We also encourage faculty to strengthen their proposals by referring to the recognized capacity within the Education Commons and the opportunity to leverage our existing core services and resources.
