  • Learning for a Sustainable Future - LSF is a non-profit Canadian organization that was created to integrate sustainability education into Canada’s education system
     
  • Evergreen - offers a range of services, resources and funding to people interested in greening across the country
     
  • Foodshare- connects learning about sustainability and the environment through issues round food
     
  • Recycling Council of Ontario - information on recycling in Ontatio – see “Educators & Students” under Resources section for information on reduction and waste-free lunch challenges.
     
  • Acorn Naturalists - specializes in the development and distribution of exemplary science and environmental education resources.
     
  • Earth Day Canada - a national environmental charity that provides free, year-round curriculum-linked lesson plans, activities, and programs (in English and French) that foster and celebrate environmental respect, action, and behaviour change to lessen our impact on the earth.
     
  • LiveGreen Toronto - tips and resources for energy and waste reduction in the home, work and on the go.
     
  • Center for Ecoliteracy - downloadable resource materials, including practical guides, essays by leading writers and experts, and inspiring stories of school communities and organizations across the country that are engaged in ecoliteracy work.
     
  • Indigenous Environmental Network - a network of Indigenous Peoples empowering Indigenous Nations and communities towards sustainable livelihoods, demanding environmental justice and maintaining the Sacred Fire of our traditions.
     
  • Canadian Wildlife Federation - Education - a national, nonproject organization that provides resources on Canadian wildlife (magazines, posters, lesson plans, webinars, online games and encyclopedias, etc).
     
  • No Impact Project- international, environmental, nonprofit project, founded in the spring of 2009. It was inspired by the No Impact Man book, film, and blog.
     
  • The Center for Green Schools - creates programs, resources, and partnerships to accelerate the transformation of schools and campuses.
     
  • Toronto Community Garden Network - a communication hub for those interested in community gardens in the City of Toronto that lists free events and workshops as well as provides advice on how to begin your own community garden.
     
  • LEAF - not-for-profit organization dedicated to the protection and improvement of the urban forest.
     
  • EcoJustice Education
     
  • Four Green Steps - a comprehensive, multipurpose organization dedicated to bringing awareness and solutions to our shared environmental problems. See School Program section for lesson plans and activities.
     
  • Focus on Forests - a program of the Ontario Forestry Association centred around getting the class outdoors and bringing the outdoors into the classroom
