GSA Accessibility Committee

The Graduate Student Association Accessibility Committee is a GSA standing committee. It will be struck at the beginning of each academic year and will be comprised of departmental reps, a GSA executive member, and interested graduate students. The committee meets approximately 4 times per year over eight months of the academic year and reports to the GSA Council on a monthly basis.

This committee was struck to ensure that accessibility is an ongoing priority within the OISE graduate student community and beyond. The GSA Accessibility Committee defines "access" broadly and works to represent the multiple interests of our diverse community. Our mission is to initiate and facilitate conversation about accessibility with OISE students, staff, faculty, and administration and to help facilitate transformation toward a more accessible environment for all. We are committed to ensuring that OISE graduate student life, academic structures, physical environment, and classroom practice and pedagogy is inclusive of, and accessible to all students. The committee will work to address issues specific to disability access, while working collaboratively to promote all issues of access.
