GSA Executive Committee Election Results
The GSA Executive Committee for the year 2012-2013 is as follows:
Jeffery Anthony Myers – President
Yongfang Jia – Vice President
Natasha Jamal – Secretary
Shaun Chen – Treasurer
The committee was selected through the election process held in March and April 2012. The positions of President and Treasurer were acclaimed and the positions of Vice President and Secretary decided by vote, held from April 9, 2011 to April 12, 2011. Apologies for the delay in both voting and results announcements.

Dates and deadlines:
Nominations for positions will be accepted until 6pm on Monday March 26th to cro.oise@utoronto.ca.
The campaign period will run from Tuesday March 27th to Wednesday April 5th.
Online balloting will take place from April 5-9th. Results will be announced online and at the GSA Council meeting on April 10th beginning at 4:30 pm in 8-201.
EXECUTIVE POSITION DESCRIPTIONS:
President
-The President will preside as chairperson at the meetings of the Executive
-The President is a member of every committee of the Council
-The President will act as the official liaison officer between the governing bodies of OISE/UT, The University of Toronto, and the Graduate Students’ Union and the GSA
Vice-President
-In the absence of the President, the Vice-president will act in his/her place
-The Vice-president will preside at meetings of the council and at general meetings of the GSA
-The Vice-president will co-ordinate the activities of student organizations at OISE/UT
Secretary
-The Secretary will conduct the official correspondence of the GSA, report any correspondence
to the Council and issue notices calling meetings of the GSA, Council, or Executive as required
-The Secretary will keep minutes of the meetings of the GSA Council, and the Executive
Committee
Treasurer
-The Treasurer will receive all moneys due to the GSA, keep all books pertaining to his/her
office, make all payments, prepare the Income Statement and Balance Sheet, and act under the instruction of the Council
-The Treasurer must prepare and present to Council a financial report and final budget by the Council meeting in October and a final report and proposed budget by the April meeting of Council
