Canadian Online Journal of Queer Studies in Education

Call for Papers - Submission Deadline: June 30, 2008
QUEER YOUTH IN EDUCATIONAL SETTINGS

Queer youth can and should thrive in educational settings. Discussion has increased in recent years around the issues facing queer youth in schools, and strategies for creating more inclusive educational settings and experiences have been receiving more attention in research and practice. This issue seeks to add to the scholarship about queer youth and the educational experience; What is the experience of queer youth in educational settings? What needs are specific to such youth and what issues should be addressed in researching and working with queer youth throughout their educational careers? Accordingly, papers dealing with a broad variety of issues relevant to education and queer youth are encouraged.
