Academic History

Lauren received her B.A. in philosophy and German from the University of Pennsylvania and her Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Toronto.

Research Overview

Lauren's main interests are in ethics and include personal identity, educational ethics, gender identity, feminist theory, and Continental philosophy. She has also conducted research in health policy and women's health.

Teaching Overview

Lauren has taught a variety of undergraduate philosophy courses at the University of Toronto and enjoys teaching in both ITE and the graduate program in philosophy and education at OISE. She is the recipient of two teaching awards.
