The community of parents at the Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study plays an integral role in building the culture of the school. The Laboratory School Parents' Association’s mission is to connect parents to the school. We believe that connected parents creates an enhanced learning environment for our children.
We carry this out by fostering communications between parents and the School and by providing parents opportunities to get involved. Parents are encouraged to participate in the many volunteer activities including classroom events, committees, and functions.
Every parent of a student at Jackman ICS is a member of the Association and is invited to regular scheduled meetings. The Association sponsors, manages and provides volunteers for school-related events. It supports the funding of needed purchases to enhance the school program, arranges occasional speakers, provides class representatives for each grade, and a forum for parent discussion. Please continue on to our "Lab Parents 2012-2013" section to find the latest Parents' Association information!
