Faculty Profiles

Members of the Laidlaw Centre include Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study faculty and Lab School teacher-researchers committed to the institute's mission of combining scholarship, practice and professional education to improve the lives of children.

Our faculty hold doctorates in developmental psychology and education or related areas; some faculty members have held successful careers as teachers in elementary school classrooms before moving on to doctoral studies and university teaching.

Teachers in our Laboratory School are also an important part of research in the Laidlaw Centre. They bring rich knowledge of children and classrooms and the perspective of teacher-researchers to the research enterprise.

Students in the MA Child Study and Education program have the opportunity and are encouraged to become involved with our faculty on their current research projects at the Laidlaw Centre.
