University of Toronto partners with Coursera to offer free open online classes
The University has joined Coursera, an innovative platform which has the potential to unlock the possibilities of open access education to the University and its divisions allowing us to expand our reach far and beyond. As part of OpenUToronto, the initial offering will include five open access not-for-credit courses including OISE’s Aboriginal Worldviews and Education led by Jean-Paul Restoule. Faculty and staff are encouraged to sign up for this course. It is a great professional development opportunity to develop a deeper appreciation and respect for the histories, cultures, values, and contemporary realities of Aboriginal peoples. This is especially important in light of OISE’s commitment to Aboriginal Education.
