Academic History

Dr. Goodman is a assistant professor in the Department of Adult Education and Counselling Psychology at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. She is the co-director of the Transformative Learning Centre and the director of the Academic Graduate Certificate in Community Healing & Peacebuilding. She also contributes to Adult Education and Community Development Program.

Dr. Goodman's research interests include:

Community-based approaches to peacebuilding, healing and reconciliation
Peace education
The culture of peace
Spirituality and education, indigenous ways of knowing, including African and Aboriginal perspectives
Transformative learning
Paradigmatic approaches to globalization
