Research Overview

Dr. Mundy’s research has focused on the global politics of “education for all” programs and policies; educational policy and reform in Sub-Saharan Africa; the role of civil society organizations in educational change; and global education in Canadian schools. She has published four books and more than four dozen articles and book chapters, and is a contributor to dozens of policy papers and reports. Her most recent publications include “Educating Children in Zones of Conflict” (a book published by Teachers College Press); and a series of papers on the World Bank and public private partnerships in education.

Dr. Mundy is committed to playing an active role in policy dialogue about education and international development, most recently acting as an external reviewer of the World Bank’s education activities in Africa; and as an analyst of Canada’s aid effectiveness agenda in education.
