Academic History After a successful career in health care (Occupational Therapist, Professional Practice Leader), I decided to return to university to explore other interests. This has lead to a second career as a researcher and lecturer in adult education and community development. I coordinate the Community University Research Alliance on Social Business and Marginalized Social Groups and am the Knowledge Mobilization and Social Media Director for the Social Economy Centre. I am also an Internet research analyst for Metaviews, a Toronto based organization that provides research and consulting services on the relationship between media, technology, and society. Teaching Overview My teaching interests include community development / community informatics, information technology, workplace learning and change, information technology and adult education, social economy organizations and various methods that support research in these areas.
