Research Overview

My research emphasizes educational policy analysis and program evaluation; organizational and social context of teaching and administration; and teacher leadership and development. teacher unions and professional associations.

Recent research projects include studies on the relationship between teacher unions and governments around educational reform and research on instances of teacher-driven innovation that have resulted in changes to wide-spread teacher practice and curriculum policy .

Teaching Overview

I teach the introductory and advanced courses on policy and program evaluation associated with the Collaborative Educational Policy Program.

I also teach in the Initial Teacher Education program, most recently an elective course on gender issues in schools and classrooms.

Professional Activities

I am the Director of the Collaborative Educational Policy Program (CEPP) at OISE, a program that draws faculty and students from nearly every graduate program.
