Research Interests:

My research and publications have focused on a variety of policy issues in education, including the organization of secondary education in Canada; school choice; the impact of feminism on educational policy and practice; educational approaches to poverty; the links between education and the workplace; the politics of research and policy. My current projects include a book with Ben Levin on approaches to poverty in the Toronto and Winnipeg school boards since 1965, a book on school choice and pluralism, and some reflections on teacher education programs.
