Full Student Ethical Reviews

Studies that are not appropriate for expedited review are considered by the full EREB at its monthly meeting. EREB submission deadlines for a full review is always two weeks prior to the EREB monthly meeting.

After initial EREB consideration, EREB will send the researcher and his/her supervisor either a request for information or changes or an approval letter. Full reviews take place on a monthly basis. If information/changes are requested, students should complete the requested changes and re-consideration of the protocol will either take place at the next monthly meeting or at the weekly meeting.

Regardless of the mechanism, protocol requirements and the criteria for approval are the same and research with human subjects may not begin until the committee has issued final, written approval.
