TPS Mentor Program
A group of students in their second year and beyond are here to welcome and support you as you navigate through life in the department. The TPSMentor program began as a student initiative through the Theory and Policy Studies Graduate Students' Association (TPSGSA) in the fall of 2002. Its aim is to help students connect with one another for academic and social purposes as you begin or continue your graduate work. Upper year students are available to support new students by email, monthly coffee breaks, and organized departmental events. Student profiles on the TPS website (more to be added) indicate whether or not a student is willing to participate as a mentor and the type of participation s/he will be available for this year (periodic email contact, monthly face to face meetings, planning departmental or programmatic events).
If you are interested in becoming a mentor for the 2009-10 year or would like to be partnered with someone in an upper year of your program, please contact tpsgsastudents@oise.utoronto.ca You do not need to be a first year student to participate. If you are already midstream in your program and would like to get involved in the program, please let us know.
