
Clive Beck
Faculty
Dr. Clive Beck teaches in both the pre-service teacher education and
graduate programs. In the MT program, he teaches Reflective Teaching and
Research in Education.
His other graduate level courses include: Teaching and School Renewal;
Foundations of Curriculum Studies; Thoughtful Teaching and Practitioner
Inquiry; and Facilitating Reflective Professional development. He also
teaches a B. Ed pre-service course entitled School and Society.
Dr. Beck’s recently funded large-scale SSHRC research is entitled Teacher
Education for Literacy Teaching. It is concerned with exploring how best
to prepare elementary literacy teachers.
