Dr. Elizabeth Campbell
Faculty
Dr. Elizabeth Campbell is a Professor in the Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning. She teaches courses in educational philosophy and qualitative research methodology in the Master of Teaching pre-service teacher education program (CTL7006: Reflective Teaching and Inquiry into Research in Education) and in the Curriculum Studies and Teacher Development graduate program (CTL1812: Professional Ethics in Teaching and Schooling). She is also an Editor of the OISE-based internationally refereed journal Curriculum Inquiry.
Dr. Campbell’s scholarship and research focus on the areas of professional ethics in education and the moral and ethical dimensions of teaching. Her most recent SSHRC-funded research project, “The Cultivation of Ethical Knowledge in Teaching,” explored the extent to which student teachers and novices are aware of moral/ethical aspects embedded in their professional practice.
