Kim MacKinnon
Dr. Kim MacKinnon is a Lecturer in the Master of Teaching (MT) and Curriculum Studies and Teacher Development (CSTD) programs. In the MT program, she teaches CTL7011 Child and Adolescent Development. In the CSTD program, she teaches CTL1606 Computers in the Classroom.
Dr. MacKinnon recently completed her doctoral studies at OISE/UT, in which she investigated the application of a Human-Tech framework for understanding technology integration in teacher education. This work was awarded the Thesis and Dissertation Recognition of Excellence Award from the Canadian Association for Teacher Education in May 2009.

Additional Interests:
Dr. MacKinnon's research interests include: Technological design affordances for learning, technology infusion, teacher professional development, online and mobile technologies, and computer supported collaborative learning and knowledge building.
In the MT program, Dr. MacKinnon currently leads a professional development special interest group for students who are interested in further enhancing their knowledge and skills with respect to K to 12 technology-based teaching and learning. She is also involved in various projects and committees geared towards designing and facilitating technology-related professional development for OISE's pre-service and graduate faculty.
