
Shelley Murphy
Instructor
Dr. Shelley Murphy is an instructor in the Master of Teaching Program in the Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning. She teaches Introduction to Special Education and Adaptive Instruction (CTL7008H) in both the Primary/Junior and Junior/Intermediate Programs.
Dr. Murphy recently completed her doctoral studies at OISE/UT, in which she investigated teachers' experiences in a collaborative learning community devoted to improving their literacy instruction for students with characteristics of ADHD.
Her research interests include: inclusive/special education; language and literacy; ADHD; teacher education and development; mindfulness in education. Dr. Murphy's research and teaching are informed by her previous work as an elementary classroom teacher, literacy specialist, and educational consultant.
