By-Laws, Nominations and Elections
Mandate
The By-Laws, Nominations and Elections Committee develops procedures for the election of members to the Faculty Council and its Standing Committees, oversees the conduct of elections, and maintains and makes recommendations for changes to the Constitution and By-Laws of the Faculty Council and its committees.
Membership
The Committee membership consists of a Chair elected from among the members, two faculty, one instructor, two staff, one graduate student, one Initial Teacher Education student. The Dean (or designate) and the Secretary of Faculty Council are ex-officio members of the Committee.

Meetings
The Committee normally meets four times a year, or at the call of the Chair, as needed when there is business to conduct concerning changes to the By-Laws, Constitution or to oversee elections. The scheduled meetings for the 2009-2010 academic year are: October 6, November 17, January 26, and March 23.
Records
The records of the By-Laws, Nominations and Elections Committee meetings are maintained by the Secretary of Faculty Council and are not publicly available.
