Sarfaroz Niyozov examines myths and misconceptions about Muslim education in Canada. To uncover these, his research team looks at how teachers approach their interaction with Muslim students. Sarfaroz's graduate students support the work through research and graduate assistantships. By promoting the integration of Muslim students' cultural and historical backgrounds into the Ontario secondary school curriculum, Sarfaroz's team hopes to improve how educators and students interact with each other and with the curriculum.
