IN THE MEDIA: 16th OISE Survey
A majority of Ontarians support increased funding for public schools, and many are willing to shoulder a higher tax burden, according to the OISE Survey on Public Attitudes Toward Education in Ontario. The survey, conducted every two years since 1980, found that support for more education dollars and higher taxes has swelled over the past few years. "There's still a feeling of constraint, of unmet needs," said Doug Hart, study co-author.
