OISE began the strategic planning process in the fall of 2010. More than 500 members of our community, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and representatives from other divisions of the University came together to share their ideas about our vision and values, as well as strategies that will help us realize our vision.
A five-year Strategic Plan (2011-2015) was finalized in May 2011 and the implementation began immediately. As of July 1, 2011 supporting the Plan is a new decanal structure and a new senior academic leadership team comprised of the Dean, Associate Dean Programs with two Academic Directors, one for graduate and one for Initial Teacher Education, reporting to this associate dean; Associate Dean Research; and the Associate Dean Innovations and Opportunities.
Two special advisors to the Dean, one on Aboriginal Education and one on Equity and Accessibility, were recently appointed and are responsible for advising the Dean on policies and practices relating to aboriginal education, as well as equity and accessibility.
The following web pages are dedicated to the OISE strategic planning, and include information and updates about the process, its outcomes and related initiatives.
